Meet Dr. Seth Torregiani
Dr. Seth Torregiani graduated from the Western University of Health Science’s College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, in Pomona, CA in 2002. While there, he extended his osteopathic medical studies for an extra year to complete a fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine, which, along with acupuncture and integrative medicine, forms the basis of his practice at the Agada Center.
Following graduation from Western University, Dr. Torregiani completed a four-year residency program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE. During that time, he also completed a physician-based course in Chinese acupuncture. He completed his residency training in June 2006 and is currently board-certified in Internal Medicine. He sees both pediatric and adult patients.
Upon completion of his residency in August 2006, Dr. Torregiani opened his practice at the Omega Professional Center in Newark and maintained a solo practice for 2 1/2 years. Due to the demand for osteopathic and integrative medicine services in the New Castle County region, the practice became very busy and Dr. Torregiani made the decision to move the practice to a larger office, and expand the practice to include additional healing practitioners.
Renamed the Agada Center (Agada is a Sanskrit term for health or medicine), the practice is now located in Suite 1221 of Medical Arts Pavillion 2 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. In addition to Dr. Torregiani’s practice, the Agada Center houses the healing practice of Jodi Hutchinson, PA, the holistic health counseling practice of Kate Gugerty, the clinical massage practice of William Baron, and the newest addition, the acupuncture practice of Picara Vassallo. In addition, the Agada Center carries several lines of healing products, from supplements to skin creams, chosen by the staff for their high quality, value, and healing potential.
In addition to his medical practice, Dr. Torregiani writes a regular guest column on integrative medicine for the Delaware News-Journal and he has spoken widely around the region about integrative medicine to various audiences. He is also on the clinical faculty of the Department of Family Medicine at Christiana Care Health System, Inc., where he teaches inpatient osteopathic manipulative medicine to residents.
