Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine

Osteopathic treatment can be a beneficial modality for a wide variety of conditions from musculoskeletal pain of all types, to sinusitis, to neurodevelopmental problems and birth trauma (see the Conditions We Treat page for additional indications).

The goal of osteopathic treatment is to bring a patient’s structure (anatomy) as close to normal as possible so that a patient may function at his or her optimal level.  While this often means a decrease in or elimination of pain, it may also include increased range of motion, decreased tension, improved circulation and nervous function, as well as improved lymphatic drainage.

Dr. Torregiani uses a variety of techniques including cranial osteopathy, myofascial release, muscle energy and others.  At times he will also utilize chiropractic-type spinal adjustments when appropriate.
